What companies look for in a provider

For providersWritten by the Workbeds team · Updated · 3 min read

Short answer

Companies choose on the total for the stay first, then on distance to the site, parking for vans, what is included, and how easy the provider is to deal with: a clear invoice, quick answers and a person to call on site.

A total they can defend

Project managers justify every cost to finance. An offer with one total, per person per night and for the whole stay, with every fee named, is easier to approve than a lower price with surprises. Name what is not included; unknown fees are the main reason offers get rejected.

Practical things that decide

  • Distance to the site at shift time, not to the city centre.
  • Parking for every van, and space to dry work clothes.
  • A kitchen big enough for the crew to cook at once.
  • WiFi that works in the rooms, not only in the hallway.
  • Clear rules on cleaning and bed linen.

Being easy to work with

  • An invoice in the company’s name, with VAT shown and a clear payment schedule.
  • Fast answers when the planning changes.
  • A named person on site who picks up the phone.
  • Honest answers about what you cannot offer.

Questions people also ask

Do companies prefer one large provider?

They prefer one address per crew, but accept two close together when that is the only way. Partial offers are welcome.

How important are reviews?

Less than for tourists. Companies look at the total, the distance and how reliable you are when something goes wrong.
